Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 August 2026
Ollie the Wonderkid is a game for children and families, and it is built to collect as little as it possibly can. There is no account, no sign-up, no password, and we never ask for a name, an email address, a phone number, a photo or a location. This policy explains exactly what does leave the device, why, and how to have it deleted.
What we collect
- A random play ID. The first time the app opens it generates a random identifier and stores it on the device. It is not your phone's advertising ID or any hardware identifier — it is a random number the app made up, and it exists only so your progress is still there the next time you open the game. If you delete the app, it is gone; a reinstall creates a new one and starts a new save.
- Game progress. Level, coins, diamonds, energy, which of the 81 cards you have unlocked, your daily streak, and Ollie's four stats. This is stored on our servers so it survives a phone restart.
- An optional nickname. Only if you choose to appear on the weekly leaderboard. It is filtered, it is visible to other players, and it should never be a real name. Leave it blank and you simply do not appear.
- Purchase records. If you buy something, we record which item was bought and what it granted. Apple and Google handle the payment itself — we never see your card, your billing address or your store account.
- Anonymous usage statistics. Which activities are used, which screens are opened, when an ad is watched. These are attached to the random play ID and nothing else. By design, no nickname, no device identifier and nothing a child has typed is ever sent to our analytics.
What we do not collect
No names, no email addresses, no phone numbers, no birthdays, no photos, no microphone or camera access, no contacts, no precise or coarse location, and no advertising identifier for tracking. The app does not have a chat, a comment box, or any way to send a message to another player.
Advertising
The game shows ads through Google AdMob. Because the audience is children, every ad request the app makes is flagged as child-directed under COPPA, flagged as being for a user under the age of consent under GDPR, and asks for non-personalised ads only. That means ads are chosen from the content of the app, not from a profile of the person holding the phone.
Rewarded ads — the ones that top up energy or double a daily reward — are always optional and never started on their own. There is no banner ad, no ad over a video of Ollie, and no ad when the app opens.
Children's privacy
We treat every player as a child. The app is designed for the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation including Article 8, Apple's App Store Review Guideline 5.1.4 and Google Play's Families policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. If you are a parent and believe your child has entered something personal — a nickname with a real name in it, for example — email us and we will remove it.
Who else sees the data
- Cloudflare — hosts our servers, database and video files.
- Google AdMob — serves the ads, under the child-directed settings above.
- Google Firebase Analytics — receives the anonymous usage statistics.
- RevenueCat — verifies purchase receipts with Apple and Google.
- Apple and Google — process the payment for anything you buy.
We do not sell data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Game data is stored on Cloudflare's network. We keep a save for as long as the game is being played and delete inactive saves periodically. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Deleting your data
Two ways:
- Delete the app. The random play ID lives on the device, so removing the app cuts the link to the save permanently. Nobody, including us, can get back into it.
- Ask us. Email support@olliethewonderkid.com from the device in question and we will erase the save and everything attached to it within 30 days. Because there is no account, tell us your nickname if you set one, and roughly when you started playing, so we can find the right save.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to a copy of what we hold, to have it corrected, or to object to how it is used. The same address handles all of these.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app's release notes.
